ARTS‧TECH EXHIBITION 3.0

Step onto the shores of Victoria Harbour and immerse your self in a poetic world where neon lights and the sound of waves intertwine—the opening exhibition of ARTS‧TECH Exhibition 3.0, TheLighthouse, is curated by Joel Kwong in collaboration with media artist Keith Lam. Through neon lights, sound, and interactive installations, reimagines the lighthouse as a metaphor of navigation and return, connecting the city’s collective memories of the harbour and the sense of coming home. 

Cities, like living organisms, are in a constant state of flux — shaped by preservation and transformation, memory and progress, identity and erasure. For over a century, Hong Kong’s iconic tram has carried the city’s lifeblood, connecting countless stories and memories, witnessing the city’s continuous evolution. 

Since last year, local artist duo Foreseen Agency (Flyingpig & Kachi Chan) have been working at the tram depot, collaborating with craftsmen through field research and cross-disciplinary creation. Together, they envisioned “Tram0” — a future tram reimagined as a cyborg entity merging biotechnology and mechanics, inspiring us to rethink what the city’s future could be.
